The Church is being shaken by the Lord and all non-essentials are being removed. All religious and historical junk is being removed (Hebrews 12:25-27 The Message Version). All that is now in His Church that is not of the Lord will be revealed and removed - removed and destroyed. This is to allow the bare essentials to remain and to be seen.

Right now, however, it is becoming very evident that we are seeing another problem arising in Christ’s Church around the world. Believers are no longer aware of nor do they believe the basic Christian doctrines “once delivered to the saints (Jude 3).
Remember, the Church is “the pillar and foundation of the truth” (2 Timothy 3:15). But if we, even in born again churches and those that are also Spirit-filled and believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, are no longer holding to biblical truth then we are in trouble. If we are intimidated by political correctness and have swallowed the myth that all religions are alike, who will defend the truth? The lack of standing for the truth and having the courage to defend the truth means the end of a vital faith wherever it appears. If we do not take the truth seriously, we will not take God seriously.

How widespread is this problem of no longer believing and preaching the truth? Very! One of many surveys determined that in the United States alone 63% of Americans deny the knowability of moral truth, as do 53% of evangelicals. Among teenagers, the next generation of leaders, only 8% acknowledge there is moral truth. There are a wide range of statistics available worldwide that prove the Church in many areas is no longer preaching the truth and that the truth is now no longer foundational to the way disciples of the Lord are living their lives.

So, the Lord is raising up apostles in every nation of the world. These men are emphasizing the basic doctrines of the Church in their teachings. They are returning to the “apostolic doctrines” as taught daily in the early Church (Acts 2:42). They are placing a major emphasis on the basic beliefs of the faith and preaching doctrinal sermons reintroducing the basics of the faith and defending the faith that is foundational to the Church that Jesus is building today.

This, of course, will destroy many of the popular teachings of today and the variety of “other gospels” that are being preached in many of the current “moves of the Spirit.” Many of the popular teachings are simply humanism veiled in Christian terms and passed off as the true gospel. They are teachings that “tickle the ears” and this is what makes them so popular. Benefits without responsibility; man-centered and not God-focused; self-centered and not focused on winning the lost. A false gospel. Many of the current “manifestations of the Spirit” will be spoken against as we return to the true manifestations of the Holy Spirit as listed in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11. This will tear down the work of “another spirit” that has invaded the church through popular movements today. And, true apostles will reintroduce the Bible Jesus through their teachings, character, lifestyle, and ministry.

The Church has been sadly deceived by many popular teachers and movements into following “another spirit,” believing “another gospel,” and worshipping “another Jesus.” (see 2 Corinthians 11:4) False apostles and ‘super apostles’ have spread a false gospel and we are now seeing the results as the Church is no longer preaching the true Gospel and presenting the real Jesus. We have also seen the undermining of the teaching on the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the resulting gifts or manifestations that accompany that second encounter. More importantly, we have seen the total neglect of the real purpose for the power and gifts received when receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit—that the Spirit is given to empower us to witness and do so supernaturally out in the world.

So, today true apostles are arising in all nations. They are often young men needing to be discipled, trained, equipped, and mentored. The Lord is asking more mature men who are already ministering as true apostles to rise up and train these young men and to help them come into the fullness of their calling. These young men will be powerfully used by the Lord to bring the Church into line both doctrinally as well as back to center of His will and the only mandate of the Church—to seek and save the lost.

So, the shaking has begun and will continue for a season as the Lord builds His Church and removes the many elements of man-made religion from the existing Church. And, then there will be a major falling away as false apostles preaching a false gospel and moving in another spirit deceive many and move them away from the truth to believe silly myths. This will culminate in a spiritual clash between false and true apostles as the battle for lost souls intensifies.
