Come Out of Hiding

In May of 2010 I asked God, “What are we as a church to do now? What does our church need?”

He said, “They need to come out of hiding”.

Then the Lord gave me 5 goals for the church.

The following are the Goals God set out for us as a church. #5 is for the leadership

OUR GOALS:

1. To be an apostolic and prophetic people

- trained and released to function at the level they are at so they will grow in relationship with Christ and therefore in character and zeal for serving God and building the kingdom by reaching out to the lost, one on one with the ability to hear God’s Voice and speak what they know and hear from the Holy Spirit to answer questions and convince people.

2. The people of the church need to see an increase in the way they value God and the church.

3. The people need servant’s hearts that are obedient and attentive to what God wants us to do.

4. The people need to perceive the urgency of reaching the lost and they need to become motivated to do something about it.

5. Muster the army, call them together

- train them to use their weapons

- exercise and build spiritual muscle

They need to learn to function on an every member in ministry level.

When they all get that, identify and build up their gifts and callings. Help them to find their place to excel and then help them to do so.

My Comments on goal #5:

It is important to remember that we are supposed to serve God whatever the level of our spiritual growth is. New Christians can help with beginning level jobs. When we pitch in and help we show that we are faithful and ready for the next step. God honors faithfulness and will kick our gifts up a notch or two if we serve him humbly. The way to grow is to use our gifts for whatever needs to be done. Whatever God gives us to do is an important piece of the whole. We are important whatever our stage of development is!

One of the first goals of a Christian should be to learn to hear God. Then the young Christian can begin to minister supernaturally as he or she hears the Holy Spirit’s instructions. If a Christian’s spiritual growth is just beginning God will give him or her simple things to do that he or she can succeed at.

You may be called to be an apostle but that is down the road. You will never get there if you don’t take that first step toward serving God in simple ways. The Christian mustn’t wait until he or she gets all their ducks in a row. Don’t wait until you get your spiritual life perfect. You never will - the only perfect person was Jesus. The Christian should just begin to do whatever he or she can to be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Shake off fear. Begin to serve God with a humble servant’s heart.

As you go along God will nudge you in the right direction.

If you are not quite sure where to start or what the next step is I am willing to help you find a job to do and coach you as you learn to do it.

God is telling us today to go for it.

Come out of hiding and let your light shine for all to see!
