THE message of the Church
God sent His Son to “seek and save the lost” and He died on the cross to do just that. His death and resurrection have made a way where there was no way. Only through the shed blood of Jesus can we find forgiveness and experience the love and acceptance of God. Only in Jesus can we have the assurance of a place reserved for us in Heaven so that when we die we will immediately be with Him forever.

This is THE message of the Church. This is THE message we are called, as disciples of the Lord, to take to every nation and people group on the planet. And, with 7 billion people now living on planet Earth we have a serious task ahead of us.

You are called, as I am, to pray for the lost, to speak to the lost, to tell others about the hope we live with that is found only in Jesus. The call to follow Jesus and fulfill His mission of seeking and saving the lost is the only biblical call on the Church. Often we become sidetracked with so many other important things and neglect THE most important - our call to complete the work Jesus came to accomplish. We are the Body of Christ and our task is to obey the Head of the Body - Jesus. And, He said to “go into all the world and make disciples.”

This is not an option nor is it something some are called to do while others are exempt from being involved. It is THE call upon every disciple’s life. Failure to become involved in this task is simple rebellion and disobedience and has dire consequences for those who call upon the Name of the Lord. We are accountable and will be held responsible for what we did or did not do with the message of salvation.

Jesus said to His disciples, “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.” If you are born again and thus a disciple He is saying the same thing to you. Each of us must be involved in THE calling upon the Church - to go into all the world and make more disciples. When we obey and become involved we enter into the greatest         adventure available to us - incredible!
