 I am writing this on Wednesday when we finalize and print the Sunday bulletin. I have just arrived home from Siberia late last night and I am on the first day of jet lag as I adjust to a 12 hour time difference and two full days of travel. It is good to be home.
It is amazing what God is doing in all of the nations of the world. He is moving in similar ways and is seriously implementing His apostolic plans for the Church that He is building. No matter what the leader’s ‘religious’ background if he is hungry for God then God moves on him and His church bringing them into His plans and purposes for the times and the season we are in.
This is all God is looking for - open and hungry hearts. He is not looking for talent, skills, education, or prominence; He is simply looking for people with hearts open to His influence and loyal towards Him. When He finds them - He pours our His power and His presence and moves mightily in their assemblies and in their lives. Then lives are permanently transformed.
It is exciting to be alive and a disciple today! These are powerful times in the Kingdom; challenging times in the Church; harvest time in the world. People of all nations are coming to a saving knowledge of the Lord in tremendous numbers including thousands of Muslims daily. We just need to stay focused to be a part of what God is doing-a choice every disciple must make.
We need to focus on what the Lord is doing and it is very evident what the emphasis is that He has for His Church at this time. He wants us to be true and mature disciples and not simply followers and church attendees. And, He wants His Church out in the world (the harvest field that is ready) connecting with the lost and sharing the Gospel of the Kingdom in words and in supernatural power.
He is asking every believer to become a disciple and every disciple to follow Him and become a soul winner. He wants us to seek and save the lost and complete the work He started. |
