There's No Place Like Home |
I have done a great deal of travelling in the past two weeks. I have travelled many miles by plane, train and car. I have spend days in transit moving from one country to another and from one city to another including my first 20 hour train ride on the famous Trans-Siberian Railroad.
During all the time in motion travelling I work on my laptop, iPad, and Blackberry. Wireless connections are becoming common and even when they are not available to enable me to connect to the web sites and do emails… I always have another article to write, thoughts to record, and scripture to write notes on. I don’t waste a minute. My approach is easy; if there is no one open to a conversation about Jesus then I focus on my mobile study and get down to work. One of the neatest ‘inventions’ of our electronic age is the e-book. I have a dozen great books on the church, apostolic ministry, evangelism, and church life on my iPad and many more electronic “study papers” about apostolic-prophetic ministry and church life today by men I relate to from nations all over the world who have tremendous insights into life in the Kingdom today and took the time to put them pot them in electronic form. And, I admit - I have several novels from my favorite Canadian author of great detective stories (after all, it good to relax for a few hours on the way home from Russia.) It will be good to be home and able to worship and pray with my Church family. I have certainly missed the Sunday assembly these past two weeks and the many daily appointments and meetings with people from The Sanctuary - one of God’s great churches walking in the “now Word of the Lord” and on the cutting-edge of what God is now doing around the world. I want you to know that our church is a church in touch with what God is doing today and is, in many ways, ahead of many other churches and leading the way as we watch the world change and learn how to minister effectively in the new reality. |
