Stop Making Things Complicated
The Christian faith is fairly simple and straightforward. In my mind we often complicate things way too much and too often. Religion is complicated; the Christian faith is simple - profound, deep, often difficult, but simple.

Here is what I mean… for me, loving God means loving people, and loving people means making a difference for God.
This means that every day we should in some small way make a difference in lives of the people we connect with that day. We should speak an encouraging word, lend a helping hand, listen to their worries and pray with them, buy them a coffee and talk a little about Jesus… each and every day, because we love God, we should love people enough to make a difference for God in their life.

The three young men pictured above worked in an outside lean-to kitchen preparing a hot lunch and supper for 75 leaders gathered in a building that here in Canada would have been condemned. They were always there for us - all of us and not just my team of three. They served everywhere they could. They loved on us and made a difference. In the evening after a very long, hot, busy day - they saw there was not     going to be any worship so one took over the soundboard and overhead, one grabbed a guitar, the other sat and the drums and we had worship and it was amazing, awesome, wonderful. They love God, expressed that love by loving all of the pastors in that late night meeting hidden away from the authorities who needed to be refreshed and made an amazing difference to our whole day. It is simple really.

Who can you love today and make a difference?
